About AI Rally
AI Rally is a human-curated directory of 324 AI tools across 12 categories — built to answer one question: “which AI tool should I actually use?”
Why this directory exists
Most AI tool listings are auto-scraped: dead products, missing prices, no way to compare. AI Rally started because choosing between tools had become a research project of its own. Every listing here is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and re-checked on a regular schedule.
How tools get listed — our editorial standards
A product earns a place only when it meets all four criteria:
- Genuinely AI-powered. Artificial intelligence is core to the product — not a marketing label bolted onto an ordinary utility.
- Live and actively maintained. The product works today, with an active team behind it.
- Delivers on its promise. We test or verify the core use case before listing.
- Meaningfully different. Within crowded categories, a tool needs a real reason to exist alongside established options.
Pricing is checked and shown on every card: 276 of the 324 tools in the directory are free to start. Anyone can suggest a tool — paid promotion can never buy editorial approval, only placement after a product has already passed review.
How we make money (transparency)
AI Rally is free for readers. We earn in three ways, clearly separated from editorial decisions:
- Affiliate commissions — some Visit links carry a referral parameter. If you subscribe, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Sponsored placements — clearly labelled with a “Sponsored” badge; the product itself still passed the same review bar.
- Optional paid products — downloadable database/report files and priority review for submitters.
A tool is never listed, ranked or recommended based on commission. When a page contains affiliate links, it says so — details are in the privacy policy.
Who runs AI Rally
AI Rally is run independently by Lei Jin (金磊), who personally works through the submission queue and maintains the listings. It is not affiliated with any of the tools listed, and inclusion does not imply an endorsement beyond meeting the editorial standards above.
